เจ้าอาวาสวัดสวนขันและวัดพระธาตุน้อย

๑. สถานะเดิม

พระครูพิศิษฐ์อรรถการ เดิมชื่อ คล้าย สีนิล เกิดวันที่ 27 มีนาคม 2419 ตรงกับวันอังคาร ขึ้น 15 ค่ำ เดือน 4 ปีชวด จ.ศ.1238 ร.ศ.95 ที่บ้านโคกทือ ตำบลช้างกลาง กิ่งอำเภอช้างกลาง จังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช เป็นบุตรของนายอินทร์ นางเหนี่ยว สีนิล มีพี่สาว 1 คน ชื่อนางเพ็ง

ลักษณะนิสัย เป็นคนมีมานะอดทน ขยันหมั่นเพียร อยู่ในโอวาทคำสั่งสอนของบิดามารดาและครูอาจารย์อย่างเคร่งครัด สุภาพ เรียบร้อย ว่านอนสอนง่าย นิสัยอ่อนโยนละมุนละไม จึงเป็นที่รักของบิดามารดา ครูอาจารย์และญาติมิตรเป็นอันมาก

เมื่ออายุ ๑๕ ปี ประสบอุบัติเหตุในการถางป่าทำไร่กระดูกปลายเท้า สามนิ้วแตกละเอียด รักษาไม่หาย ด้วยกำลังใจที่เด็ดเดี่ยว พ่อท่านคล้ายได้ใช้มีดตัดปลายเท้าออกด้วยตัวเอง และใช้ยาพอกจนหายเป็นปกติ

ขาของพ่อท่านคล้ายนั้นเสียข้างหนึ่ง คือ ขาด้านซ้ายขาดตั้งแต่ตาตุ่มลงไป  (เสียตั้งแต่สมัยเด็กๆ โดนต้นไม้ทับที่บ้านญาติของท่านที่ จ.กระบี่ ขาเป็นหนองเลยต้องตัดทิ้ง โดยท่านใช้มีดปาดตาลตัดเอง) ท่านเลยต้องใส่กระบอกไม้ไผ่แทน

พ่อท่านได้บรรพชาเป็นสามเณร เมื่อวันที่ 30 มิถุนายน พ.ศ.2438 (อายุ 19 ปี) บรรพชาที่วัดจันดี ต.หลักช้าง บรรพชาโดยอาจารย์ พระอธิการจันเจ้าอาวาสวัดจันดี (ทุ่งปอน) และพ่อท่านสามารถท่อง พระปาฏิโมกข์จนได้แม่นยำ

เมื่ออายุครบ ๒๐ ปี จึงอุปสมบทเป็นพระภิกษุ ณ อุทกุกเขปสีมา หรือศาลาน้ำ ได้รับฉายาว่า จนฺทสุวณฺโณ โดยมีพระครูกราย คงคสุวณฺโณ เจ้าอาวาสวัดหาดสูง เป็นพระอุปัชฌาย์ แล้วได้ไปจำพรรษา อยู่ที่วัดทุ่งปอน หรือวัดจันดี

๒. การศึกษา

การศึกษาเบื้องต้น พระครูพิศิษฐ์อรรถการ เริ่มศึกษาเบื้องต้นที่บ้าน โดยบิดาเป็นผู้สอน เรียนวิชาคำนวณ และวิชาอักษรโบราณ จนสามารถอ่านออกเขียนชำนาญ ทั้งหนังสือไทยและหนังสือขอม ต่อมาศึกษาต่อในสำนักนายขำ ที่วัดทุ่งปอน บ้านโคกทือ จนจบหลักสูตร ต่อมาได้ไปฝึกหัดเล่นหนังตะลุงกับนายทองสาก ประกอบกับพ่อท่านคล้ายมีหน้าตาดี น้ำเสียงไพเราะ จึงมีคนติดใจการเล่นหนังตะลุงของท่านมากการศึกษาสมัยอุปสมบท เมื่อบวชเป็นพระสงฆ์ได้ศึกษาพระธรรมวินัย ศึกษาภาษาบาลี (มูลกัจจายนะ) ณ สำนักวัดหน้าพระบรมธาตุฯ โดยมีพระครูกาแก้ว (ศรี) เป็นอาจารย์ ต่อมาได้ศึกษาทางวิปัสสนากัมมัฎฐานที่สำนักวัดสามพัน อำเภอพระแสง จังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานี โดยมีอาจารย์หนูเจ้าอาวาสเป็นผู้สอน

ผลงานและเกียรติคุณ

สมณศักดิ์

ได้เป็นพระครูสัญญาบัตรชั้นตรีที่พระครูพิศิษฐ์อรรถการในปี พ.ศ.๒๔๙๘ ต่อมาได้รับพระราชทานเลื่อนสมณศักดิ์เป็นพระครูชั้นพิเศษในนามสมณศักดิ์เดิม แต่ประชาชนทั่วไปเรียกท่านตามชื่อเดิมว่า พ่อท่านคล้าย

ตำแหน่ง

- ดำรงตำแหน่งเจ้าอาวาสวัดสวนขัน ตำบลละอาย อำเภอฉวาง ใน พ.ศ. ๒๔๔๕ จนมรณภาพ

- เป็นเจ้าอาวาสวัดธาตุน้อย ใน พ.ศ.๒๕๐๐ เนื่องจากมีการสร้างถนนผ่านกลางวัดจันดีหรือวัดทุ่งปอน ทำให้วัดถูกแบ่งออกเป็นสองส่วน ประชาชนได้ประชุมตกลงสร้างวัดใหม่ในเนื้อที่ที่แยกออกไป เรียกว่า วัดพระธาตุน้อย และแต่งตั้งให้พระครูพิศิษฐ์อรรถการ เป็นเจ้าอาวาส เมื่อท่านมรณภาพไปแล้ว วัดนี้ก็เป็นที่ประดิษฐานสรีระของท่านไว้ในโลงแก้ว

๓. ผลงานที่สำคัญ

๓.๑. งานด้านศาสนา

พระครูพิศิษฐ์อรรถการ เป็นผู้นำในการสร้างวัดพระเจดีย์ พระพุทธรูป และร่วมกันในการปฏิสังขรณ์บูรณะศาสนสถานเป็นจำนวนมาก ผลงานสำคัญ ดังเช่น

สร้างวัด พ่อท่านคล้ายเห็นความสำคัญของปูชนียสถาน จึงได้สร้างวัดขึ้นหลายแห่ง ได้แก่ วัดมะปรางงาม ตำบลละอาย อำเภอฉวาง ใน พ.ศ. ๒๔๙๐ ต่อมา พ.ศ. ๒๕๐๐ ทายาทอึ่งค่ายท่าย ถวายที่ดินใกล้ตลาดนาบอน จึงสร้างวัดขึ้นเรียกชื่อตามสมณศักดิ์ว่า วัดพิศิษฐ์อรรถการาม และวัดที่สำคัญที่สุดคือวัดพระธาตุน้อย หรือคนทั่วไปเรียกว่า วัดพ่อท่านคล้าย พระครูพิศิษฐ์อรรถการได้สร้างขึ้นใหม่ และสร้างเจดีย์องค์ใหญ่ไว้เป็นอนุสรณ์ โดยยึดรูปแบบมาจากวัดพระมหาธาตุทั้งหมด การก่อสร้างสำเร็จในปี พ.ศ. ๒๕๑๓

สร้างพระเจดีย์ พ่อท่านคล้ายได้สร้างพระเจดีย์ไว้หลายองค์ ได้แก่ เจดีย์วัดสวนขัน เจดีย์บ้านควรสวรรค์ ตำบลนาแว อำเภอฉวาง เจดีย์วัดยางค้อม อำเภอพิปูน และที่จังหวัดสุราษฏร์ธานี ได้แก่ เจดีย์วัดสวนขันอำเภอพระแสง และเจดีย์หน้าถ้ำขมิ้น บนภูเขาอำเภอนาสาร

๓.๒ งานด้านพัฒนาท้องถิ่น

พ่อท่านคล้าย จัดได้ว่าเป็นนักพัฒนาที่ยิ่งใหญ่ตลอดชีวิต ทำงานโดยไม่รู้จักเหน็ดเหนื่อยเพื่อประโยชน์ส่วนรวม ได้เดินทางไปพัฒนาในที่ต่าง ๆ มากมาย สร้างถนน สะพานมากมาย ด้วยเมตตาบารมีและความเคารพศรัทธาของศิษย์และประชาชน ดังเช่น

๓.๓ ด้านความมีเมตตาและวาจาสิทธิ์

ศิษย์ยานุศิษย์และประชาชนที่เคารพนับถือ ศรัทธาพ่อท่านคล้ายได้เชื่อถือถึงความศักดิ์สิทธิ์ของวาจา พูดอย่างไรเป็นอย่างนั้น พ่อท่านคล้ายจะพูดจากับทุกคนด้วยใบหน้ายิ้มแย้มและแจ่มใสอารมณ์เยือกเย็นอยู่ตลอดเวลา ท่านมักจะให้พรกับทุกคน "ขอให้เป็นสุข เป็นสุข" ผู้ที่เคารพนับถือท่านต่างพากันกลัวคำตำหนิ เพราะผู้ที่ถูกตำหนิทุกรายล้วนแต่พบความวิบัติ คนส่วนมากจึงหวังที่จะได้รับคำอวยพร เพราะคำเหล่านั้นเป็นการพยากรณ์ที่แม่นยำทั้งในทางดีและทางเสื่อมเสีย

คนที่ไปนมัสการหวังที่จะได้วัตถุมงคล บ้างขอน้ำมนต์ ชานหมาก แหวน ผ้ายันต์ เหรียญ รูปหล่อ รูปพิมพ์ ซึ่งพ่อท่านคล้ายก็ได้มีเมตตาให้กับทุกคน ยิ่งชานหมากของท่านหากใครได้รับจากมือท่านเป็นต้องหวงแหนอย่างที่สุด

มรณภาพ

พ่อท่านคล้ายมรณภาพด้วยโรคหืด เมื่อวันที่ ๕ ธันวาคม พ..ศ. ๒๕๑๓ รวมอายุได้ ๙๖ ปี เมื่อบำเพ็ญกุศลครบ ๑๐๐ วัน จึงได้บรรจุสรีระของท่านไว้ในโลงแก้ว ประดิษฐานอยู่ในองค์พระเจดีย์ในวัดพระธาตุน้อยจนถึงปัจจุบัน
